Poem 55

The Creator of All Wonders

One day, walking on the road,
I looked up to the sky and wondered:
"Who has created the giant oak tree
And its shadow down under?
Who has turned those pretty colors
From the green of hot summer
Into the red and yellow of autumn?
Who splashes rain in shining puddles
And makes the stars shimmer in middle of the night?"

Such questions gave me the grateful meditation!
Long time ago, among our ancestors,
One of the Men of the Lord, Job,
Who exclaimed that it was God
Who "does great things past finding out,
Yes, wonders without number." (*)

It is God who has built the huge forests
And changed their colors from east to west.
It is God, who makes rains in dry weather,
Lets the sun shine in daytime,
And directs the stars to show at night.
It is God who keeps the earth rotating.
He makes the rivers flowing up and down,
Feeds the sparrow, and dresses the lilies
In their splendor through all the seasons.

It is God who creates every living wonder!
He is our loving and caring Father
Who gives us hope, peace, love, and freedom
To enjoy life and know all His creations!
Therefore, we should look for His kingdom
Where we will have the true enjoyment!
