Poem 49
The Story Of Christmas
Two thousand years ago from Bethlehem,
An angel was sent down to earth
To meet a virgin named Mary
Who was also engaged to Joseph.
Mary was blessed by God's Spirit
To give birth to the only Son
of God from Heaven high above!
It seemed like a fairy tale at first.
There was some misunderstanding,
but by praying for God's help,
the angel had come to overwhelm
with God's love and wealth
poured on Mary and Joseph's life.
So there was peace between them,
and everything was continued by God's plan.
Later on, Jesus Christ was born
to save the whole wide world
from the badness of evil.
That day has been known as Christmas.
Since then the world can be saved
because of God's unconditional love
that will never end. It will last for us!
